We are appalled by the aggressions that are brought upon Ukraine and the people of Ukraine by the Russian government.
As members of the European publishing community, we strongly support the statement issued by the Federation of European Publishers. We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and all of our fellow Ukrainian colleagues in publishing; with the authors, translators, booksellers, and librarians – also in their fight for freedom to publish.
On 24 February, IPA (International Publishers Association) received an open letter from its Ukrainian member, the Ukrainian Publishers and Booksellers Association, appealing to IPA and the international publishing community for support.
